The device includes a stacking surface movable in a substantially vertical direction, on which layers of products to be packaged are superposed, and a pair of conveyors substantially superposed to feed the layers of products to the stacking surface. The device also includes a pair of walls substantially parallel, and substantially vertical, between which the layers of products are inserted by the conveyors when they are stacked on the stacking surface. The walls move reciprocally towards and away from each other to take a position of greater reciprocal distance, in which they do not interfere with the products deposited on the stacking surface, and a position of lesser reciprocal distance, in which they interfere with the products inserted therebetween.

IMPROVED DEVICE FOR THE FORMATION OF GROUPS OF RODUCTS IN SEVERAL LAYERS
The device comprises: a stacking surface (3) movable in a substantially vertical direction, on which the layers (S1-S3) of superposed products to be packaged are arranged; a pair of conveyors (7, 9) substantially superposed to feed said layers to the stacking surface; a compacting wall (11), positioned approximately orthogonal to the direction of feed of the conveyors and therebelow. The lowering movement of the moving surface carries the layer or layers deposited thereon approximately to the height of the compacting wall, which compacts the products.
The device comprises a stacking surface (3) movable in a substantially vertical direction, on which layers (S1, S2, S3) of products (P) to be packaged are superposed, and a pair of conveyors (7, 9) substantially superposed to feed the layers of products to the stacking surface. The device also comprises a pair of walls (31 A, 31 B) substantially parallel, and substantially vertical, between which the layers of products are inserted by the conveyors when they are stacked on the stacking surface. The walls move reciprocally towards and away from each other to take a position of greater reciprocal distance, in which they do not interfere with the products deposited on the stacking surface, and a position of lesser reciprocal distance, in which they interfere with the products inserted therebetween.
The device for packaging groups of products (R) in a heat-sealable plastic film (F) comprises: a path for feed of the groups of products; and, in sequence along said path, folding members (17; 19; 25, 29) for folding in sequence four flaps of the plastic film projecting from the group of products in a direction transverse to the direction of feed of the group of products along said path of feed. Along the path of feed and on each side thereof, there develops a respective contrast element (19) that inserts itself between the group of products and at least one pair of folded and superimposed flaps. Said contrast element co-operates with a sealing assembly that carries out mutual heat- sealing of said two superimposed flaps.

MACHINE AND METHOD FOR PACKAGING GROUPS OF PRODUCTS
To orient groups of products to be packaged in a plastic film the groups (G) are wrapped in lengths of film and fed between two series of opposite conveyor belts (211, 212). Each series of belts comprises several parallel belts controlled at proportionally variable speeds to cause the group (G) to rotate through approximately 90° about an axis orthogonal to the direction of feed.

MACHINE AND METHOD FOR FORMING GROUPS OF PRODUCTS ORDERED IN SUPERPOSED LAYERS
There is described a machine for forming groups of ordered products, each group comprising products disposed according to superposed layers (S). The machine comprises a succession of conveyors (5, 9, 11) aligned according to a principal direction (T) of alignment, with a feed conveyor and a delivery conveyor. The feed conveyor (5) receives single layers of products aligned with and spaced from one another; and the conveyors are disposed and controlled so as to distribute layers of products on a predetermined number of levels at different heights, and to unload onto the delivery conveyor a predetermined number of layers, superposed on one another, equal to the predetermined number of said levels at different heights.
A conveyor device, in particular for an automatic packaging machine for paper rolls, having a horizontal plane of advance, at least one pair of motorized flexible transmission members extending along a closed loop and bearing a plurality of transverse bars fastened to said flexible transmission members, a plurality of thruster elements borne by said bars, and a stationary adjustment station provided with at least one adjustment assembly having a grip organ movable in transverse direction and arranged in such a way as to displace in the transverse direction along the respective bar a thruster element positioned at the grip organ.
