The invention provides a screen (S1-S14), in particular a pressure screen or a pressure screen device which has an inlet (Z) and at least one axially spaced accept (Ak) and reject (R). Screen elements (2) are arranged in the inlet space (ZR) of the screen (S1-S14) and in the inlet space (ZR) of the screen elements, spaced radially therefrom, there is a rotor (3) which rotates by means of a driving means (G). In the axial direction between the inlet (Z) and accept (Ak), the rotor comprises at least two rotor regions (A, B) which rotate at different rotational speeds. Each rotor region (A, B) is assigned a corresponding screen basket region (2A, 2B, 2'A, 2'B). These rotor regions can rotate in the same direction or in opposite directions. The screen is operable according to the inflow principle or the outflow principle, optionally also in combination.
The invention relates to a profiled bar assembly comprising multiple profiled bars, each of which comprises a profiled bar foot and a material feed-side profiled bar head. A fibrous material suspension, as a material feed, passes over the profiled bar head in a specified flow direction, and the profiled bars are designed in particular for bar screen devices in the paper industry. A screen opening, in particular a screen slot, is formed between the each pair of adjacent profiled bars, said screen opening forming a flow connection to the admission side of the screen device. The aim of the invention is an overall improvement of the output capacity of such a bar screen device during operational use. This is achieved in that the profiled bar head of the profiled bar assembly is designed such that the upstream flank overlaps with the downstream flank of an adjacent profiled bar. The downstream flank on the profiled bar head has the shape of a recess, for example a V-shaped recess, on the material feed side, said recess comprising a first feed flank and a second discharge flank. The two flanks form an angle (a). Furthermore, the axis of the filter opening forms an angle (ß) together with the tangential line of the flow direction of the fibrous material suspension as the material feed. Preferred ranges for the angles are disclosed, and a tangential wear surface which is substantially parallel to the flow direction of the material feed is formed on the bar filter head in particular.

A discontinuously operated centrifuge, in particular sugar or starch centrifuge, includes a rotating, cylindrical centrifuge basket having a casing provided with openings and having an upper open end. An inner screen element formed as a composite unit of a screen mat and a support mat is insertable as a prefabricated, single-piece screen element into the centrifuge basket via the upper open end thereof. The screen element has ends abutting in a circumferential direction within the centrifuge basket, with axially extending end strips attached to the abutting ends of the screen element. A closure element in the form of an axially extending clamping strip cooperates with the end strips so as to lock and radially brace the screen element against the centrifuge basket casing. Attached on the centrifuge basket is an upper limiting flange, with an annular cover being screwed onto an upper limiting flange for securing the screen element.
The invention relates to a screening device, which is preferably in the form of a screening basket. Such screening devices are used, for example, in classifying processes in the paper industry. Screening slots or screening gaps are formed between adjacent profiled screening bars. The screening bars are held at the foot regions thereof in holding cut-outs of support elements and permanently fastened thereto, said holding cut-outs being matched to the foot region geometry. The profiled bars are arranged in such a way that, with constant slot width between adjacent profiled bars in the screening basket axial direction, the profile depth increases from the material inlet side to the reject outlet side, and the diameter of the screening device is greater on the material inlet side than on the reject outlet side.
The invention relates to a batch-operated centrifuge, in particular a sugar or starch centrifuge, which has a rotating, cylindrical centrifuge drum (3) provided with openings (9). An internal screen element (S) is situated inside the rotating, cylindrical centrifuge drum (3). The internal element (S) is in the form of a slotted screen and comprises a resistance-welded screen (12) consisting of screen profile wires and screen support wires (10, 11), and a resistance-welded support (15), consisting of axial and radial support wires (13, 14). The screen element (S'), in the form of a composite unit consisting of screen (12) and support (15), forms a prefabricated, single-part or integrally-formed screen element which can be inserted and introduced into the centrifuge drum (3) via the upper, open end thereof. At the ends (20) of the screen element (S) which meet in the circumferential direction, there are axially extending end strips (18, 19) which co-operate with a closure element in the form of an axially extending clamping strip (17) to lock and radially brace the screen element (S) against the centrifuge drum casing (8). To close the upper, open end of the centrifuge drum (3), there is an annular cover (23), which is screwed onto the upper limiting flange (5) to fix the screen element (S). The invention also relates to an intermittently operated centrifuge, in particular a sugar or starch centrifuge, in which the casing (8) provided with openings (9) is reinforced on the outside by a plurality of reinforcement rings (7, 7') surrounding the casing (8), wherein the reinforcement rings (7, 7') can be designed differently depending on and according to the load.

The invention relates to a refiner (1) for fruit, vegetables or the like, in particular for tomatoes. Said refiner (1) has an inlet (2) for the feed material to be processed and, in a processing chamber, a rotating break-down and separation apparatus (5), which comprises a screening apparatus (7). The feed material is thereby separated into a liquid end-product phase or good phase and a mushy waste phase or reject phase. The good phase is led away via a first outlet (8), and the reject phase is led away via a second outlet (9). In case of said refiner (1), a moisture measurement is performed for the mushy reject phase, near the separation apparatus (5) in respect of process, by means of a moisture-measuring sensor (10) arranged in the outlet region for the mushy waste phase or reject phase (9), the measured moisture content being used for process monitoring and process control. The invention further relates to preferred arrangements of a moisture-measuring sensor (10), and to suitable transmission and data-processing apparatuses for the data obtained from the moisture-measuring sensor.

A screening device for fibrous stock suspensions of the paper industry includes at least two separate screening baskets which are connected axially behind one another in the interior of a reinforcing device in the form of a back-up cylinder. A variable-diameter intermediate ring is arranged between the screening baskets. The reinforcing device has a cover part and a bottom part. By way of axial tensile force loading of the arrangement, the intermediate ring is loaded so as to bear radially in the circumferential direction in a gap-free manner against the associated axial ends or screening basket flanges of the screening baskets. The screening baskets are then clamped and fixed in a centrally positioned manner by the intermediate ring in cooperation with the end-side flange of the reinforcing device, the cover part, the bottom part and the intermediate ring.
A profiled strainer bar has a base region and a head region. A straining slot or a straining gap is produced between flanks of the straining slot at the head region. Each flank at the head region has a radius with a common center on the upstream and downstream side. A strainer, preferably in the shape of a strainer basket, has straining slots or straining gaps formed between profiled strainer bars. The strainer bars have a geometry at the strainer bar base region with the geometry being adapted to receiving recesses of support elements and being received in the receiving recesses. The strainer bars are permanently secured to the receiving recesses. The invention is concerned with sets for mechanical processing, in particular refining, of suspended fibrous material as material to be treated in a refiner. A set comprises a die plate (2) which is configured as a perforated plate with receiving openings (12) in a predefined arrangement, into which blade-shaped processing elements (3) which protrude on the process side and are flowed onto by the fibrous material are inserted. Said blade-shaped processing elements (3) in each case have a plurality of base regions (10) which are spaced apart in the longitudinal extent, pass through the die plate (2) and project beyond the die plate (2) on the side which is remote from the process. In one design variant, at least some of the base regions (10) of the processing elements (3) reach into associated receiving grooves of an additional base plate (8) on the side (14) which is remote from the process. In one alternative embodiment, transverse stiffening elements (4) are provided which are arranged substantially orthogonally in the longitudinal direction of the processing elements in such a way that the transverse stiffening elements (4) stabilize the base regions (10) of the processing elements on the side which is remote from the process.

By way of said axial tensile force loading, the screening baskets are then clamped in and fixed in a centrally positioned manner with the aid of the variable-diameter intermediate ring in interaction with the end-side front flange (13) of the reinforcing device, the cover part, the bottom part and the intermediate ring.

The pocket is then filled with a homogeneous or composite filler material used as a fixing means, wherein the filler material may be composed of, for example, an adhesive. In this way, a permanent solid connection can be produced between strainer bar (6) and support element (3).
