The invention relates to a ballasted impeller (10) connectable to a drive shaft for an at least partial conversion of the kinetic and/ or pressure energy of a working fluid into mechanical energy. The impeller (10) is ballasted so that by installing the impeller in a turbine turbomachine, the amount of kinetic and/or pressure energy of a working fluid convertible into mechanical energy by said turbine turbomachine is greater than if known impellers of the same type were installed in said turbomachine. The invention further relates to a turbine turbomachine including the aforesaid impeller and to an electrical energy delivery system including the aforesaid turbine turbomachine.
