The invention relates to a system for recovering energy from heat in a cyclical thermodynamic process. The cyclical process has the following components which are connected so as to communicate with one another: a condenser for re-cooling and liquefying a working medium; an evaporator arrangement which is provided downstream of the condenser, in relation to the flow direction of the working medium, for supplying the heat energy to the working medium in order to increase the temperature and the pressure of the working medium, said evaporator arrangement having at least two evaporator units which are independent of each other; a working chamber which is provided downstream of the evaporator arrangement for expanding the working medium from the evaporator arrangement in order to extract energy from the working medium; and a feedback for the at least partially expanded working medium to the condenser. A pump for the working medium is arranged between the condenser and the evaporator arrangement. A valve arrangement is provided upstream and downstream of the evaporator units, and the valve arrangement can be controlled such that the working medium can flow into the evaporator units selectively and sequentially in a staggered manner for each evaporator unit in a first phase; the evaporator unit is completely separated from the cyclical process in a second phase in order to heat the received working medium and to increase the pressure of the working medium; and the heated working medium can flow out to the working chamber in a third phase.
