The present invention makes it possible to provide electric pruning shears for which a blade angle can easily be adjusted and which have improved workability. Electric pruning shears 1 for cutting plants comprise: a cylindrical handle part 9 extending in a prescribed axial direction; a cutting part 3 attached to the distal-end part of the cylindrical handle part 9, the cutting part 3 having two blades, at least one of which is a movable blade 3B; a drive part 5 for applying driving force to the movable blade 3B; a housing 2 attached to a rear-end part of the cylindrical handle part 9, the housing 2 accommodating the drive part 5; a transmission mechanism 8 for transmitting the driving force to the movable blade 3B, the transmission mechanism 8 being interposed between the drive part 5 and the cutting part 3; a holding part 30 that holds the cylindrical handle part 9 so as to enable rotation around an axis with respect to the housing 2; and a rotation-restricting part 34 that restricts rotation of the cylindrical handle part 9 around the axis with respect to the housing 2 at a prescribed rotation angle.
Electric pruning shears include: a first blade including a first blade portion that cuts an object to be cut and a first support base portion extended in a direction different from the first blade portion as viewed from the pivot portion; and the second blade including a second blade portion that cuts the object to be cut by sandwiching the object to be cut together with the first blade portion and a second support base portion extended in a direction different from the second blade portion as viewed from the pivot portion. The first blade portion is a convex curved blade with an intermediate portion from the pivot portion side to a distal end convexed, and the second blade portion is a concave curved blade with an intermediate portion from the pivot portion side to a distal end concaved. A bevel angle of the second blade portion gradually becomes obtuse from the pivot portion side to the distal end. At least one of the first support base portion and the second support base portion is connected to a power transmitter that transmits power from a drive source that is electrically driven. With this configuration, electric pruning shears capable of satisfactorily performing cutting without blade slippage even when the object to be cut is a thick branch, thereby making it possible to improve user’s satisfaction.
There is provided electric pruning shears capable of arbitrarily adjusting an opening/closing width of a blade so as to improve user's satisfaction. These electric pruning shears are configured so that: a first blade includes a first blade part for cutting an object to be cut and a first support base part extending in a direction different from that of the first blade part when viewed from a shaft support part; a second blade includes a second blade part that cuts the object to be cut by being inserted into the first blade part, and a second support base part extending in a direction different from that of the second blade part when viewed from the shaft support part; the first blade part is a convex curved blade of which an intermediate portion is convex from the shaft support part to a tip; the second blade part is a concave curved blade of which an intermediate portion is concave from the shaft support part to the tip; a blade angle of the second blade part gradually adopts an obtuse angle from the shaft support part to the tip; and at least one among the first support base part and the second support base part is connected to a power transmission body that transmits power from an electrically driven drive source. Accordingly, even when the object to be cut is a thick branch, electric pruning shears that can cut the branch well without slipping can be provided, and user satisfaction can be improved.
