Abstract
A method of operating a game machine including a grabbing device, a driving device, and a cabinet that defines an inner space is provided. The grabbing device includes a string and a claw. The method includes steps of: the driving device moving the grabbing device, in the inner space, horizontally from an original location to an upper location, and then releasing the string to lower the claw from the upper location to a lower location; when the claw reaches the lower location, the driving device outputting a first voltage to the grabbing device to perform a grabbing action; after performing the grabbing action, the driving device outputting a second voltage to the grabbing device for reducing grip strength of the claw for a predetermined time period; and the driving device outputting a third voltage to the grabbing device for increasing grip strength of the claw after outputting the second voltage.

Abstract
A basketball machine includes a body having an inclined lane, a display configured to display a game having a plurality of challenges, a hoop including an engagement portion and an opening, a sensor configured to detect whether a ball has passed through the opening of the hoop, and a processor. The game has a first image layer showing a plurality of display areas, a reference object and a plurality of moving objects. The moving object moves towards and past the reference object. Each moving object has a bonus prize. The sensor generates a scoring signal when the detected result is positive. The processor calculates an accumulated number of times the scoring signal has been received and converts the accumulated number into an instant score. The processor determines whether the player qualifies as completing the current challenge, and controls the game to enter the next challenge when the determination is positive.

Abstract
A striking device for a prize-winning game machine is disclosed, primarily comprising a striking head, an X-Z axis moving mechanism, and a Y-axis striking mechanism. The moving mechanism comprises two symmetrically disposed X-axis guiding rails and a Z-axis guiding rail where both ends of the Z-axis guiding rail are movably connected at X-axis guiding rails. The Y-axis striking mechanism can movably connected at the Z-axis guiding rail and comprises a Y-axis guiding rail and a striking rod moving along and disposed on the Y-axis guiding rail. The striking rod is off-axis aligned and connected to a back surface of the striking head for striking the targets in the prize-winning game machine. Therefore, the Y-axis striking mechanism will not be tilted or shifted during numerous striking operations to greatly increase the durations of the striking head and the striking mechanism.
