The invention relates to xanthogenate-gold compounds and to pharmaceutical formulations of these complexes, and also to medicaments which comprise these formulations for treatment of tumour, virus and autoimmune disorders influenced by activated macrophages.

Abstract

The invention relates to associations of xanthogenates and cyclodextrins, to pharmaceutical formulations thereof and to medicaments comprising these formulations for the treatment of Alzheimer's, viral diseases, tumour diseases, cardiovascular diseases and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatism, multiple sclerosis, Alopecia areata, lupus erythematodes, stroke, pulmonary edema, or for use as radioprotectors. The associations comprise a xanthogenate of the formula (I) where R1 represents an optionally substituted aryl or alkyl radical and R2 represents a metal atom, an optionally substituted alkyl, alkoxy, amino or ammonium group or halogen, and a cyclodextrin, where the cyclodextrin may be either a substituted or an unsubstituted alpha-, beta- or gamma-cyclodextrin. The invention furthermore relates to the use of the associations for chemical syntheses.
