The invention relates to a column 10 for charging electric vehicles, comprising a cabinet 12 having a fixed structure 14 and at least one opening door 16. The cabinet can assume a closed use configuration and an open maintenance configuration. The column 10 comprises: - a user interface 18; - a power socket 20; - an electric/electronic power circuit 22 suitable for powering the power socket through an external power distribution network 24; - an electronic supply card 26 suitable for managing the supply of electric power to the power socket; and - an electronic user interface card 28 suitable for managing the operation of the user interface. The user interface and the power socket can be reached from the outside even when the cabinet is in the closed use configuration, while the electric/electronic power circuit, the electronic supply card and the electronic user interface card are comprised inside the cabinet and can be reached from the outside only when the cabinet is in the open maintenance configuration. Inside the column according to the present invention the electric/electronic power circuit, the electronic supply card and the electronic user interface card are mounted on the inner surface of the door.
