Abstract

Crotal, for identifying animals, which consists of a female part in the form of a housing for receiving a respective male part, said female part being composed of a base piece (4) that defines the housing for receiving the male part and a mouth piece (5) that forms the mouth of the housing with means for retaining the male part inserted, which pieces (4) and (5) define complementary means (4.3 and 5.3) for the establishment between them of a retaining clip-fitting during assembly coupling, whilst when said pieces (4 and 5) are joined together they define an intermediate chamber (7) with which openings (4.4) and (4.5) of both pieces (4 and 5) communicate and via which the covering material (6) applied to the whole flows.

Abstract

The invention relates to a female element for an ear tag that is used to identify cattle. The invention consists of a cap (3) comprising: an inner cavity (3b) for housing the head (1b) of a male element (1) which is held in place by retaining means (3c, 2c), an insertion hole (2b, 3f) for inserting the head (1b) of the male element (1) into the inner cavity (3b), and an anchoring bushing (2a) which is disposed in the insertion hole (3f) in the cap (3) and which comprises a central hole (2b) having an extension that is greater than the maximum cross-section of a peripheral step (1c) provided on the head (1b) of the male element (1). The invention also comprises a laminar seal (5) which is made from a material through which the head (1b) of the male element (1) can pass and which is disposed on the anchoring bushing (2a), said seal having an extension that is essentially identical to the extension of the central hole (2b) in the anchoring bushing (2a).
