A method for controlling a wrench (1) includes the steps of providing a calibration association between a screwing torque (M) and a corresponding electric current (I) absorbed by a motor (3) of the wrench (1), selecting a rotation direction of a tool holder shaft (2) of the wrench (1), actuating a motor (3) of the wrench (1), detecting an instantaneous current (I_inst) of the motor (3) during its operation, controlling the power supply of the electric motor (3) depending on the selected rotation direction, a target torque screwing value (M_tgt), the detected instantaneous current (I_inst), and the calibration association, and if the selected rotation direction is a screwing direction, when the detected instantaneous current (I_inst) reaches or exceeds a target current value (I_tgt) corresponding to the target torque value (M_tgt) according to the calibration association, deactivating and/or stopping the motor (3), changing a rotation speed (RPM) of the motor (3) depending on the detected instantaneous current (I_inst), and in a final screwing step in which the detected instantaneous current (I_inst) increases until it reaches the target current value (I_tgt), reducing the rotation speed (RPM) of the motor (3) to a final speed value (RPM_final) lower than an initial speed value (RPM_init) in an initial screwing step.

An impact wrench motor unit includes a motor and an operating switch. A tool-holder shaft rotates about a rotation axis. A transmission unit percussion mechanism connects the motor unit and the tool-holder shaft. A handlebar structure has two handles for manually gripping the wrench. An electronic control system, containing a control board, connected to electric batteries and the operating switch. The electric motor is simultaneously powered by rechargeable batteries connected in parallel. The control system includes a device for generating three-phase current to the motor, utilizing a first battery generating a first phase, a second battery generating a second phase, and both the first and second batteries for generating a third phase. A ratio of contributions of the first and second batteries to the third phase generation depends on the residual charge state of the batteries. The least charged battery contributes less than the most charged battery.

Abstract

A shear bolt for a junction of electrical conductors includes a tool seat for engagement of the shear bolt by a screwing tool, an externally threaded portion to be screwed in a terminal body of the junction, along a screwing axis, and a tightening portion for engaging an electrical conductor to be tightened in the terminal body. The tool seat is formed at the threaded portion and the tightening portion is connected to the threaded portion on an opposite side with respect to the tool seat. The shear bolt can be sheared in one or more programmed rupture areas in the threaded portion when exceeding a predetermined tightening torque for each of the programmed rupture areas, respectively. Abstract

An impact motorized wrench includes a tool-holder shaft arranged on a front side of the wrench and pivoting around a rotation axis, a rotary motion producing motor unit arranged on a rear side of the wrench opposite the front side and an operating member to operate the motor unit, a drive unit with a percussion mechanism being arranged between the motor unit and the tool-holder shaft. The motor unit, the drive unit and the percussion mechanism together form a base body of the wrench and the wrench includes two gripping handles attached to the base body, both being of elongated shape and transversally spaced apart relative to their longitudinal extensions. The handles define a common gripping plane tangential to both handles, which plane extends transversally to the rotation axis. The operating member is associated to one of the two handles.

Abstract

A hydraulic pressing and/or cutting tool (1) comprises an electric motor (6), a converting mechanism (8) suitable to convert the rotary motion of the motor (9) to an oscillating translational motion, a hydraulic pump (11) suitable to carry out, in response to the oscillating translational motion, an increase in the pressure of a pressure fluid acting on an operating piston (12) such that the operating piston (12) is displaced, a stationary jaw (13) and a movable jaw (14) connected to the operating piston (12) such that, in response to the displacement of the operating piston (12), the movable jaw is displaced to the stationary jaw (13) to carry out pressing or cutting operations. The converting mechanism (8) comprises an epicycloidal gear (16) and a thrust unit (17) co-axial with the epicycloidal gear (16).

Abstract

A screw for the electrical connection of a cable terminal to a railway track or the like comprises a base body having an elongated shank having a longitudinal axis, a strike head connected with a first end of the shank, and threads for the removable connection of a strike organ or nut with a second end of the shank opposite said first end. The screw further comprises a support element manufactured separately from the base body and associated to the strike head so as to form a stroke that defines a cavity turned towards the second end of the shank. The screw is pre-assembled and the support element is substantially irreversibly connected to the base body.
