Abstract

The invention relates to a method for heat-sealing a seal on a thermoplastic glass comprising a wall whose upper end comprises an edge - or rim (20) - comprising an annular rib (23) and two collection surfaces (26, 28) extending on either side of the annular rib (23). According to the invention, the rim also comprises first and second annular grooves (30, 31) extending between the annular rib (23) and the collection surfaces (26, 28). The method comprises, during the heat-sealing of the seal (50), a step consisting in causing all or part of the annular rib (23) to flow into the grooves.
