Abstract

The invention relates to a baby-transporting device (10), in particular for bicycle trailers (40), and to an assembly of a baby-transporting device (10) in a bicycle trailer (40). A baby-transporting device (10) according to the invention comprises at least one planar upper part (12) and at least one planar lower part (14), wherein the upper part (12) and the lower part (14) together form a baby-transporting region (28) for supporting a baby to be transported. Both the upper part (12) and the lower part (14) are each delimited laterally by a flexurally rigid lateral frame element (16a, 16b, 18a, 18b), and the lateral frame elements (16a, 16b, 18a, 18b) are connected to one another such that they can be collapsed. The lateral frame elements (16a, 16b, 18a, 18b) constitute a kind of lateral guardrail. Furthermore, the collapsible design makes it possible for the baby-transporting device (10), even in if a bicycle trailer (40) is collapsed, to be able to remain therein in a - likewise compact - collapsed state. In addition, when the baby-transporting device (10) is not in use, it can be brought into a compact, collapsed state.
