Abstract

The invention relates to the supplemental generation of energy from operation of a train, and specifically to the generation of energy in connection to the rotation of disc brake rotors in combination with generators. Rotation of the disc brake rotors creates rotational energy that is transmitted to the generators, which then transmits the energy to a series of batteries for storage. Abstract

A system for the supplemental generation of energy from the rotational movement of wheels in vehicles, the system including a rotational member, an energy transformation member, an actuator and a frame member. The frame may position the rotational member such that upon selective activation of the actuator, the rotational member will be rotatably engaged with the inside of the rim of a wheel. Anti-slip tape or other materials may be utilized on the rim to facilitate rotation of the rotational member. The rotational member can be connected to a generator or other energy transformation member to generate energy for storage or use.
