Abstract

An engine capable of operating on compressed air includes one or more first pressurized air tanks, one or more second pressurized air tanks, a first motor including a casing, a transmission shaft disposed within the casing, a first motor entry port coupled to the one or more first pressurized air tanks for receiving compressed air, and a first motor exit port for exhausting the received compressed air, a second motor including a turbine housing, a crankshaft, and a turbine for rotating the crankshaft disposed within the turbine housing, a second motor entry port coupled to the one or more second pressurized air tanks for receiving compressed air, and a second motor exit port for exhausting the received compressed air, and an auto clutch for selectively coupling the transmission shaft to the crankshaft.
