Abstract

The present invention relates to a continuously variable transmission and, particularly, to a device which: smoothly and continuously varies speed by a simple structure through conical friction wheels; and, particularly, enables two groups of conical friction wheels facing each other to be alternately arranged to overlap with each other such that a compact configuration is possible, and also greatly increases frictional force among the respective constituent elements by elastic force independently applied toward the center from both sides, thereby smoothly and continuously varying the speed without slipping. Thus, since two groups of conical friction wheels facing each other are alternately arranged to overlap with each other so as to continuously vary the speed without a transmission shock by a more compact configuration, marketability can be increased, and also, frictional force among the respective constituent elements are remarkably increased by elastic force independently applied toward the center from both sides such that the speed can be smoothly changed with high efficiency without loss due to slipping, thereby maximizing transmission performance.

Abstract

A transmission for use in an electrically-driven bicycle and/or a scooter is disclosed, in which the transmission coupled with a motor is embedded together with the motor in a hub of a rear or front wheel. According to the transmission and a transmission method, the power generated from the motor or a pedal is outputted through a transmission device to a hub shell of the wheel. The output of the motor or other output of the motor which is subject to a reduction unit is used as the input of the transmission device. The ring gear and the hub shell are connected to each other with an output pawl, so that the power cannot be reversely inputted when the hub shell is rotated with a higher speed than the ring gear.

The auxiliary speed-shifting device includes installation holes (18), a press receiver, and a rotator. The installation holes (18) are arranged in a pole control ring (15) to connect the inside of the installation holes (18) to the outside thereof. The press receiver is disposed in the installation hole (18) to move in and out of the pole control ring (15). The rotator is disposed outside the pole control ring (15), and has spline recesses (27, 27a, 27b) in the inner surface thereof. As the rotator rotates, surfaces defining the spline recesses (27, 27a, 27b) press the press receiver to release the engagement of poles (12, 13). Accordingly, since the main speed-shifting device can be operated with a device such as an electric switch that requires a very small amount of force, components for shifting speed can be significantly improved.

Abstract

A transmission is adapted to have a deceleration structure while generating an output in the same direction as when a motive power is rotated forwardly when the motive power is rotated reversely. The transmission includes a motor, an output cover, fixed shafts, and a transmission. The transmission is selectively connected according to the rotational direction of the driving shaft. The transmission provides a constant speed output in the forward direction since the driving shaft and the output cover are directly connected to each other when the driving shaft is rotated forwardly, but provides a decelerated output in the forward direction since a reduction planetary gear is geared between the driving shaft and the output cover when the driving shaft is rotated reversely.

Abstract

The present invention concerns a speed controller for a motor which prevents interference from reverse input. For a known speed controller for a motor, a drive shaft of the motor outputs a constant forward rotation speed to an output cover and it outputs different speeds to the output cover in reverse rotation thereof. According to the present invention, when two driven members are coupled with a drive shaft at a constant speed and different speeds, at least one driven member of two members is not driven at any positions, so reverse power input from the output cover does not interfere with the other driven member. A key protrudes from the outer circumference of the drive shaft and is combined with a pole-mounting ring, wherein a key groove is formed. The width of the key groove is larger than the key. Lower parts of a constant-speed pole and a different-speed pole which are differently oriented to each other are extended downward and mounted in the pole-mounting ring. As the pole-mounting ring is friction-fixed by a separate frictional pin, one or both poles may be moved by the key to a horizontal position according to the rotational direction of the drive shaft. Furthermore, the circumference of the drive shaft is polygonal and whereon a constant-speed ball and a different-speed ball are distanced from each other and are combined with a ball-mounting ring. The top and bottom of the ball-mounting ring protrude. As the ball-mounting ring is friction-fixed by a separate frictional pin, one or both balls may be separated from the circumference of the drive shaft according to the rotational direction of the drive shaft.

Abstract

Disclosed therein is a transmission, which is adapted to have a deceleration structure while generating an output in the same direction as when a motive power is rotated forwardly when the motive power is rotated reversely. The transmission includes: a motor having a driving shaft; an output cover adapted to surround the outside of the motor and rotated by receiving a rotational force of the motor; fixed shafts adapted to extend toward both sides of the output cover; and a transmission formed between the driving shaft and the output cover. The transmission is selectively connected according to the rotational direction of the driving shaft to thereby provide an output at a constant speed or a reduced speed only in a predetermined direction. In addition, a controlling device for automatically controlling the transmission for the motor according to a load applied to the output side is also provided.
