A training device includes a tether having inelastic portions disposed between its ends, where each inelastic portion is separated by an elastic portion, and where each of the ends is configured for engagement with hands of a trainer. The training device may include a belt that wraps around an athlete's body including a ring on a back portion thereof having an opening for receiving an end of the tether therethrough. When the belt is secured around the athlete's body and the tether is disposed through the ring, the training device may create a coupling between the trainer and athlete when the trainer secures the ends of the tether. The coupling may be substantially released when the first user releases one end of the tether such that the released end is substantially unrestrained to traverse through the ring thereby fully disengaging the tether from the belt.

A batting tee has a post including a ball holder on a top end of a post, and a tube cap on a bottom end of the post. A receptacle is positioned in a recess in a base frame having a through hole. The tee is set up for use by passing the post through the through hole from the bottom of the base and securing the tube cap to the base. The batting tee may be set up for use, and disassembled for transport or storage, quickly and easily.
An agility pole or a passing arc includes one or more receptacles adjacent to a first end of a tube. A spike assembly has one or more fittings, and a spike attached to a holder adapted to slide into the first end of the tube, in a spike-in position wherein the spike is within the tube, and in a spike-out position wherein the spike is substantially outside of the tube. The fittings engage the receptacles in the spike-in position and in the spike-out position. The agility pole or passing arc may be transported and stored in the spike-in position so that injury or damage from the spike is avoided.
An adjustable height hurdle may have a rigid base with a slider movable on or in a track to different base length positions. A flexible bridge may have a first end attached to the slider and a second end attached to the track. The bridge is movable from an erect position wherein the bridge is on a top side of the base and the hurdle has an isosoles trapezoid shape, to a collapsed position wherein the bridge is on a bottom side of the base. The height of the hurdle is adjusted by changing the length of the base.

A left link assembly has ends pivotally attached to left ends of the first and second rungs, and a right link assembly has ends pivotally attached to right ends of the first and second rungs. A backpack has a divider panel having four sides, with a first side pivotally attached to a main bag. A divider panel zipper attaches the second, third and fourth sides of the divider panel to the main bag. The divider panel is movable, by unzipping the divider panel zipper, from a first position wherein the divider panel is substantially horizontal and divides the main bag into upper and lower compartments, to a second position wherein the divider panel is more vertical and the main bag is not divided into upper and lower compartments. An odor absorber is removably contained within a pouch in the divider panel. The pouch may be formed of mesh layers attached together at their perimeter.
A sports training agility ladder is usable in a flat ladder position with the ladder rungs on or close to the ground. The ladder may also be moved into and used in a hurdle position where a bridge or center section of each rung is raised up off of the ground. The ladder accordingly provides advantages of an agility ladder and of hurdles. Each rung may have permanently attached left and right tubes forming a frame. Left and right elastic cords may extend through the left and right tubes. The ladder is consequently easily and compactly folded up for storage and transport, and quickly and easily unfolded for use in either the ladder position or the hurdle position.

A handle for an elastic resistance cord training system includes a grip on a handle frame adjacent to a first end of the handle frame. A base is provided on the handle frame adjacent to a second end of the handle frame, with the base having one or more one cord channels. A gate is movable or slidable on the handle frame from an open position where the gate is substantially spaced apart from the cord channel, to a closed position wherein the gate overlies the cord channel. With the gate in the open position, the cords can be quickly and easily swapped out.
A golf mat includes a frame having a central channel between left and right side shoulders. A hitting pad, such as an artificial turf pad, is slidable within or on the central channel. At least one elastic element, such as a rubber cord, extends laterally across the channel, and with the elastic element attached directly or indirectly to the artificial turf pad. Impact of the golf club head on the pad causes the pad to slide forward, absorbing impact forces and providing a feel to the golfer closer to hitting off of real grass. The elastic element decelerates the pad, and returns to the pad to its original position after the impact. The elastic element may be an elastic cord having plugged or knotted ends secured between inner and outer walls of the side shoulders of the frame.

An umbrella is secured to the frame and is pivotal between an upright use position extending above the chair and a downward storage position adjacent the frame. The umbrella may be non-symmetrical, and removably mounted on either the left or right side of the chair.
