Systems and methods are disclosed for measuring the volume of liquid contained in a vessel. A sensor array comprising a plurality of sensors and a laser apparatus comprising one or more lasers can be positioned relative to each other such that lasers beams emitted from the laser(s) can be received by the sensor array. The vessel can be positioned such that each laser beam intersects the vessel at a certain predetermined height. A liquid level's height may be determined by the volume of liquid in the vessel. A refraction of a laser beam may be influenced by the presence or absence of liquid at that predetermined height, which could be the result of the liquid level's height being above or below that predetermined height. Readings from the sensor array may determine where refraction occurs, allowing ranges or values of the volume of liquid in the vessel to be extrapolated.

Surface-penetrating radar (SPR) is used to obtain images of a vehicle's undercarriage and employ these to identify the vehicle (or vehicle type or class). In particular, a vehicle may have a unique undercarriage SPR "signature" that remains largely stable over time, since it is not significantly affected by buildup of dirt, moisture or light debris. Even if the signature is not sufficiently differentiated from those of similar vehicles, it can be used to identify the vehicle within a class, which may be adequate for many purposes.

BLOCKCHAIN TRANSACTIONS WITH LOCATIONS OBTAINED USING SURFACE-PENETRATING RADAR
Surface-penetrating radar (SPR) systems provide localization information for provision to a blockchain application. SPR can be used in environments, such as cities, where multipath or shadowing degrades GPS accuracy, or as an alternative to optical sensing approaches that cannot tolerate darkness or changing scene illumination or whose performance can be adversely affected by variations in weather conditions. In particular, SPR can be used to acquire scans containing surface and subsurface features as a vehicle traverses terrain, and the acquired data scans may be compared to reference scan data that was previously acquired within the same environment in order to localize vehicle position within the environment. If the reference scan data has been labeled with geographic location information, a vehicle's absolute location can thereby be determined.

MONITORING VEHICLE LOCATION USING SURFACE-PENETRATING RADAR SYSTEMS AND BROADCAST TRANSMISSION
A location system utilizes a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) antenna array both to detect surface and subsurface road features as well as broadcast transmissions, which are used to improve localization. For example, the GPR antenna may pick up an AM or FM radio transmission or Wi-Fi signals, and may use these to calculate or refine the estimated position of the vehicle.

MONITORING VEHICLE MOTION USING SURFACE-PENETRATING RADAR SYSTEMS AND DOPPLER SHIFTS
Doppler analysis of surface-penetrating radar signals are utilized to compute or estimate parameters associated with vehicle motion. The Doppler shift may originate with reflections from subsurface or above-surface features ahead of (or behind) the moving vehicle, in which case a vehicle speed may be computed from the shift; or may originate with reflections from surface or subsurface features directly below the vehicle, in which case the shift corresponds to a vertical speed that may be used to sense the performance of, or changes in, the vehicle's suspension system.

One or more vehicles in a platoon may be operated autonomously using a surface-penetrating radar (SPR) system implemented in the lead vehicle. SPR signals obtained by the system may be converted to one or more images (or scans) that provide information about the ground surface and/or other surfaces around the vehicle within a detection range of the SPR system. Based on the obtained SPR signals, the lead vehicle may create a real-time map including the SPR information and/or localize the real-time SPR information to an existing map. This real-time SPR map information may then be transmitted from the lead vehicle to succeeding vehicles in the platoon in a pass-it-down fashion for localizing the succeeding vehicles behind the lead vehicle.

Disclosed are methods to induce dislodgement of target prostatic cells from the prostate organ, collecting said cells, and subsequently examining the cell population. Such methods comprise the administration of an agent that facilitates the dislodgement of the target cells from within the prostate, which then migrate into the urethra. Exemplary agents include 5 alpha-reductase inhibitors. The cells induced to pass into the urethra are then collected non-invasively, such as through urine or semen samples. Such collection is further strategically calculated relative the administration of the agent so as to maximize the sample collection of the target cells of interest. The exfoliated prostatic epithelial cells are subsequently utilized for purposes such as detecting prostate cancer, predicting/measuring prostate tumor susceptibility to drug regimes, active surveillance of patients whose prostate biopsy results are negative, but continue to exhibit symptoms consistent with prostate cancer, and identifying false positive results associated with biomarker assays.
