Transparent microelectrode arrays (MEAs) that allow multimodal investigation of the spatiotemporal cardiac characteristics are important in studying and treating heart disease. Existing implantable devices, however, are designed to support chronic operational lifetimes and require surgical extraction when they malfunction or are no longer needed. Meanwhile, bioresorbable systems that can self-eliminate after performing temporary functions are increasingly attractive because they avoid the costs/risks of surgical extraction. Here, we provide a design, fabrication, characterization, and validation of a soft, fully bioresorbable, and transparent MEA platform for bidirectional cardiac interfacing over a clinically relevant period. The MEA provides multiparametric electrical/optical mapping of cardiac dynamics and on-demand site-specific pacing to investigate and treat cardiac dysfunctions in rat and human heart models. The bioresorption dynamics and biocompatibility are investigated. The device designs serve as the basis for bioresorbable cardiac technologies for potential postsurgical monitoring and treating temporary patient pathological conditions in certain clinical scenarios, such as myocardial infarction, ischemia, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement.

Due to the precautions put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, utilization of telemedicine has increased quickly for patient care and clinical trials. Unfortunately, teleconsultation is closer to a video conference than a medical consultation with the current solutions setting the patient and doctor into a discussion that relies entirely on a two-dimensional view of each other. A telehealth platform is augmented by a digital twin of the patient that assists with diagnostic testing of ocular manifestations of myasthenia gravis. A hybrid algorithm combines deep learning with computer vision to give quantitative metrics of ptosis and ocular muscle fatigue leading to eyelid droop and diplopia. The system works both on a fixed image and video in real time allowing capture of the dynamic muscular weakness during the examination. The robustness of the system can be more important that the accuracy obtained in controlled conditions, so that the system and method can operate in practical standard telehealth conditions. The approach is general and can be applied to many disorders of ocular motility and ptosis.

A plenoptic, or light field, imaging enables the reconstruction of the light field, and therefore of a 3D scene, from a single camera through computational imaging. The plenoptic approach is an improvement to Fourier integral microscopy, or FIMic, to macroscopic imaging. The plenoptic imaging scheme offers better spatial resolution and simpler calibration and many generic computational reconstruction schemes. The plenoptic system does not require a complex customization of a camera, but instead relies on the design of a camera objective, which greatly reduces the complexity and cost of the scheme and simplifies its deployment to many cameras.

BIORESORBABLE CARDIOVASCULAR INSTRUMENTS, AND OPERATION AND FABRICATION METHODS OF SAME
A device implantable on a target of interest of a subject for pacemaker, neuromodulator, and/or defibrillator therapy comprises a wireless power harvesting unit configured to deliver power via resonant inductive coupling to the target tissue for stimulation in a manner that eliminates need for batteries and allows for externalized control without transcutaneous leads. The device relies exclusively on materials that resorb when exposed to biofluids in a time-controlled manner via metabolic action and hydrolysis. The materials and design choices create a thin, flexible, and lightweight form that maintain excellent biocompatibility and stable function throughout a desired period of use. Over a subsequent timeframe following the completion of therapy, the devices disappear completely through natural biological processes. These characteristics and a miniaturized geometry facilitate full implantation into the body to eliminate the need for percutaneous hardware, which thereby minimizes the risk of device-associated infections and dislodgement.

The operation of multiple unmanned vehicles (UAV) commanded and supported by a manned "Tender" air vehicle carrying a pilot and flight manager(s). The "Tender" is equipped to flexibly and economically monitor and manage multiple diverse UAVs over otherwise inaccessible terrain through wireless communication. The architecture enables operations and analysis enabled by means to detect, assess and accommodate change and hazards on the spot with effective human observation and coordination. Further, the optimal trajectories for UAVs to collect data from sensors in a predefined continues space. The system formulates the path-planning problem for a cooperative, and homogeneous swarm of UAVs tasked with optimizing multiple objectives simultaneously as its objectives are maximizing accumulated data within a given fly time and designed data clouding processing constraints as well as minimizing the probable imposed risk during UAVs mission. The risk assessment model determines risk indicators using an integrated SORA-BBN (the Specific Operation Risk Assessment - Bayesian Belief Network) approach while its resultant analysis is weighted through AHP ranking model. To this end, as the problem is formulated as a convex optimization model, therefore, the system has a low complexity Multi-objective reinforcement (MORL) algorithm with a provable performance guarantee to solve the problem efficiently. The MORL architecture is successfully trained and allow each UAV to map each observation of the network state to an action to make optimal movement decisions. This network architecture enables the UAVs balance multi objectives. Estimated MSE measures show that the introduced algorithm followed decreasing error in learning process with the increase in the epoch number.

Precise nerve detection during surgery is crucial for safe operational outcomes, which largely depend on the surgeon's skills. Therefore, automatic real-time identification of anatomical structures is of great importance. However, image processing times must be kept as low as possible to be a viable solution for real-time visual identification. By using a general purpose graphics processing unit (GPGPU) implementation for birefringence mapping, the process can achieve rates of 43 frames per second (FPS); a 118x gain from a CPU implementation. Furthermore, by including a deep learning network, the complete framework can automatically detect nerves close to 12 FPS. By leveraging GPU for the processing task, the framework can run on compact devices with NVIDIA modules, such as Jetson Xavier AGX, while still achieving reasonably fast nerve identification and visualization.

Rather than using a comparing binary generated using a random or fixed compiling configuration, the system identifies the compiling configuration of the target binary code and compares the target binary code to a comparing binary generated using the same compiling configuration as the target binary code. The compiling configuration of the target binary code may be identified by a neural network (e.g., a graph attention network trained on attributed function call graphs of binary codes with known compiling configurations). The target binary code and the comparing binary may be compared using a graph neural network (e.g., a graph triplet loss network) that compares attributed control flow graphs of the of the target binary code and the comparing binary.
